William Kaht's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that the family of Bill Kaht announces his passing on Thursday, April 14th at the age of 78.
William-Bill-Greypop-Dad-Daddy-Captain Bill was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was a Veteran of the Navy and acquired his Masters Degree in Engineering. After many years working for Comsat, D.C.C., and Hughes, Bill (happily) retired in 1991. After his retirement, Bill lived out his dream on the Sea Venture II eventually becoming a charter boat captain.
Bill was a loving and giving husband, father, and friend and will be sorely missed.
Bill is survived by his wife, Joan D. Garrabrant Kaht of Bowie, MD; three children, William Kaht III of Lyons, GA, Joanne Webb of Abingdon, MD and Gerald Kaht of Springfield, VA; nine grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is predeceased by his two brothers, Richard and Rudolph Kaht.
A memorial tribute will take place between the hours of 6PM – 8PM on Monday April 18, 2011 at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care, P.A. – 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD 21401.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake 445 Defense Hwy. Annapolis, MD 21401 and/or Leukemia Society of America 11350 McCormick Road Suite 100, Building 3Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
