I did not know Capt. Bill as long as other here but it did not take a grate deal of time to know the he was a generous person that always put others first and sometime at his own determent. My life was made better by knowing him, Thank you capt. Bill.

Bill Kaht was a great friend of 33+ years. He was a wonderful man and an outstanding mentor. I knew Bill professionally when he was a Vice President at DCC, M/A-COM, and then Hughes Network Systems. I also knew him as the best Charter Boat Captain on the Chesapeake. Bill, you will be missed by many and the Chesapeake Bay will never be the same without Sea Venture II plying her waters. Rest well old friend, rest well.
To the family of Bill - He was my second level boss when I started Hughes back in 1988. He was one of the most down to earth men I had ever met and was always available to lend his advice in any situation whether professional or personal. Capt Bill was one of the first people I met when moving to Edgewater many years ago. He always had that wonderful smile and never not asked about my daughter. You will be missed by many, many friends. May God bless those who loved him as well and keep those wonderful memories close at heart.
