Aunt Virginia was a "spunky" little Aunt when we were growing up! Always busy making sure everyone was taken care of at the family gatherings. I remember her working hard in the garden at the farm & how she loved the family dinners & times when we all got together. Kathy & I were probably more than a handful every time I stayed at their house, but we couldn't help ourselves... We were best-cousins - Laughing, acting silly, watching scary shows (yes, Twilight Zone) & then making ourselves scared at night until we called out for her to come & check to be sure the room was safe... I remember her telling us about all kinds of superstitions & life lessons. My memories of my "older" Aunt Virginia, is that of a very sweet, mellow, lovely lady. When we visited, she would let me know how much she cared about me being there by reaching out to touch my arm & my hair & just lovingly smile at me...(over & over again)... it warms my heart every time I think of her... and then I smile.
