I got to know Susan over a two-year period while conducting a trial on an issue in which Susan served as a witness. I learned a lot from Susan during the time we worked together - her grit, grace, and wry sense of humor will stay with me always. Her love and concern for everyone in her orbit, in particular for David, were manifest in every interaction. I will miss her cheery emails, photographic memory for historical details, and political insight very much. Thinking of David, Susan's "sons-in-law," and the rest of Susan's beloved family at this difficult time.
