Richard was a friend and wonderful co-worker. He is missed.
Our deepest sympathy to you, Karen, and to your family. We didn't know your dad, but we know how much you loved him and will miss him. Praying for your peace and spiritual comfort at this difficult time.
Sincerely, Cheri and Jim Southward
I worked with Richard at the Department of Housing and Community Development, and he was always someone I could go to for guidance. He had a great sense of humor and his determination to continue working, in spite of having had to deal with some physical set-backs, was an inspiration. I've missed seeing him since he retired. I regret that I will not be able to attend the services, but send my deepest sympathy to all of his family.

I remember growing up when he was between the job at the golf course and getting his CPA we played a lot of chess during that summer. I became a better chess player but don't remember ever being able to beat him.
I worked many years with Richard and have never meant anyone as kind and gracious as Richard. He was always a patient man and did not mind sharing his knowledge to help others. I truly loved him.
It was never God’s intended purpose for mankind to die and that is why he made special provisions through his Son, Jesus Christ, to resurrect "all those in the memorial tombs". (John 5: 28, 29) What a glorious day it will be when we welcome back all those who have died with the prospect of never having to die again. You have my sincere condolences.
I am so sorry to hear of Richard's passing. I worked closely with him when he worked at the State of Maryland's Department of Housing and Community Development. I learned so much from him. I have thought of him a lot since his retirement. My deepest sympathy and prayers to his daughters and the rest of his family.
Georgia Brackett.
