My husband, Larry, and I extend our sincere sympathy to the family of Pierre Francois. I first met Pierre when I ran for a seat on the Annapolis City Council, and I served as his representative on the Council from 1997-2005. We met when I campaigned in West Annapolis. He asked cogent questions, offered good suggestions, posted my signs prominently in his front yard (even taking on the election officials who tried to deny him his free expression because of the proximity of his home to the polling place), and never hesitated to call when there was a problem for which I might offer assistance. A community character and also a community treasure, he will be missed in West Annapolis and in the hearts of those who knew him. My condolences to his children and grandchildren. May your memories of your loved one comfort you at this sad time.
