My great grandma Phyllis L Falcon .... Last night this woman beheld the beauty of Jesus for the first time. I can in my own barely imagine what a sight, what she felt as she finally saw the hands and the scars that bore the worlds shame. She is a testimony that when Jesus calls you home, your story has been written in full. I haven't been able to spend much time with her in my small short lifetime, but what I know about my grandma Phyllis is that she never missed my birthday, a Christmas, or holiday no matter our distance apart. The final time I saw her handwriting to me was after my surgery. I remember being in awe that she took the time at 91 yrs to tell me she was praying quick healing over me. Her sweet spirit was so precious and so faithful. She took my breath away at her faithfulness to those around her and her love to live life at its fullests. Being aware of all God had given and placed before her and her un hesitant heart to step out of the familiar to experience new things. There is no doubt I anticipate the moment I get to worship along side her at the throne of Jesus one of these days. - I will miss your letters Grandma... As I hold them close, your faithfulness will continually remind me to love deeply out of the overflow of Jesus, as you so unselfishly displayed. Tell Jesus how much I love Him today ya? I can't wait to see Him as you have...
Here's to you, Grandma Phyllis L Falcon. December 6, 1921 - October 8, 2013. Your unconditional love will remain with me always, as well as the good memories. Cookie jars, pinto bean fudge, Stevia back in the 80s!, swimming pool, Newport Hills, visits with Aunt Merilyn and Uncle Frank, Aunt Sharon and Uncle Gene, Tony & Mary, keeping up with family, Redding California, Lake Shasta, Colorado Springs, your inspiring talent on the piano and organ and your encouragement throughout my life. I'm glad I told you how much I love you, because I've had nothing but love from you. Matthew Falcon
