Mac was an avid fisherman who was not reluctant to chase fish even in chilly weather. One of our most memorable trips was in January of 2016 just a few days before the big snow storm that hit the area. Our fingers were a bit numb as we fumbled the slippery minnows baiting our hooks, but shivering was a small price to pay for the fun that day. The two of us caught about seventy rockfish, including one weighing over eight pounds that Mac boated. That one was the toughest to return to the water, as they all had to be. It was a pleasure and an honor to share bait with you, my friend.
