I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear loved one. When a loved one dies the pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. At such a time we can find comfort in Jesus promise made to all who have loss loved one in death at John 5:28,29 which reads: Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
My heart is sad but is lifted with some wonderful memories of Dr. Martin. I can see him now....he would strut into Kernan's therapy gym and stand there with his arms wide open, warmest smile you could ever see. In a flash Maria rushes in to get the biggest hug and kiss. She grabs his hand and leads him to me and his other Kernan girlfriends who are waiting to get a warm hug too. It was the best medicine for us because he shared a daddy love that everyone needed and it was always right on time!
Perhaps one of the most precious moments and memories was seeing Maria and Dr. Martin on her wedding day. I could see how proud he was of his family and how much he loved all of you.
I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to know Dr. Martin. I know he is smiling even wider and warmer, and his spirit will live on forever. May God bless him and all of his family.
With love, Debra Parson
It was always a great pleasure to meet him during his visits to Madrid. We´ll miss him so much...
Cousins, we´d like to express our deepest sympathies and send you a warm hug.
Dr. Martin was a man of true class and sophistication. I always looked forward to greeting and talking with him whenever visiting with Gene and Peggy. It was always a treat to see Dr. Martin try to get Kristen to openly speak Spanish with him. May the Lord hear our prayers for Dr. Martin and grant many blessings to wonderful family that is his legacy.
You always greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing. What a kind and caring man you were. I am going to miss you.
Maria joined our family when she married my cousin Mike 9 years ago. Mike grew-up to be an amazing man; smart and accomplished in many ways. We are so happy that he has Maria and had Dr. Martin as a second Father - he was a blessing for Mike after he lost his Father 8 years ago. I thank Mike and Maria for opening their family and home to me, my husand, and my son and helping us with so many things; including the recent tragic loss of my husband. If not for their generosity and family values, I would never have known Dr. Martin. I am so glad I was blessed by his friendship - I loved him and will miss him. Maria is lucky to have had such a wonderful Father, and Mike to have had a second Father and a friend of such caliber. Some people leave this earth not really making much of a mark; not the case with Dr. Martin. As a professional, he
is well documented as a brilliant doctor, and as a man, he raised an amazing family that is a lasting tribute to him and his wfie. Rest in Peace Dr. Martin. I love you, Kathy
Mr. Martin, what a wonderful, caring man! I have so many great memories of going over to the Martin's to play Pictionary in high school and having many, many laughs! You will be missed dearly and remembered forever.
