Joyce and I had a kindred spirit type of relationship many years ago. We were both single parents and loved our daughters more than life itself and would do anything for them. We were joined at the hip for several years back then. We lost contact several years later, then reconnected just before her passing. It’s been over six years since her passing now I will see one of her baby girls soon. The last time I saw Joyce or the girls was maybe in 1997 or 1998 in Augusta, Ga. I believe Joyce was moving either to Pennsylvania or Maryland at the time. When I saw the girls’ post about her passing, I had just gotten re-married the day before.
