To the Poulsen Family: Jon and I rode the same commuter bus everyday for a few years. I enjoyed chatting with him about BEP happenings, his time in Texas and coming back to the DC area. It is hard to believe he is gone and he will be missed. Your family will continue to be in my prayers.
Blessings,

Dear Beth, Jackie and I are so grateful to have shared some good carefree times together with you and Jon, both in Maryland and also Texas... trips to Ocean City, MD., dinners, especially at Fager's Island enjoying the sunset along with the "1812 Overture", boating and jet skiing, Stevie Ray Vaughn concert at Merriweather Post. We will hold on to and cherish those fond memories. We are deeply saddened for you, Travis, Trent, Melissa, and all of Jon's family over your loss. We pray God will bless you with His comfort and healing, and that He will be a source of strength for all of your needs.
With sincere regrets and love,
Jackie & Joe Stephens
I am so sorry to hear of Jon's passing!! We were in home room together, for as long as I can remember! I recall seeing him at some reunions. I always have and always will remember him fondly. He was always kind to me and others; even when others weren't. I am so sorry for your loss!! My condolences, Cheri (née) Putnam Carroll.
I like Bill Hemmingway met Jon for the first time in his “Travel Club” days. I had the pleasure of being the Mechanical Instructor of that 5th E/M group. I heard all the stories from those trips that Bill mentioned; it really was a tight knit group. They were always extremely competitive whether it was for the highest grade in the class or who could buy the best “toy”. The biggest competition of course was between Jon and Mark. Jon’s competiveness was in his nature, as was his work ethic and dedication to improve things here at the BEP, they are just some parts of his Character that I never saw waiver or change in all the years that I’ve known him. Mark and the rest of the Poulsen family, I am truly sorry for your loss.

DEAR POULSEN FAMILY, MAY I OFFER MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON JON'S PASSING. JON AND I USED TO BE GREAT FRIENDS WHEN I MOVED THERE IN 1970, HE, DAVE GLAZIER, AND JEFF BRASSARD USED TO HANG OUT AFTER SCHOOL AND PLAY FOOTBALL IN FRONT OF YOUR HOUSE. HE WAS A GREAT GUY A GREAT SMILE AND AN HONEST SOUL. HE WAS TRUSTWORTHY AND HAD GREAT INTEGRITY, I USED TO GO BY THE NAME JOE DOVE WHEN I LIVED IN THE STATES AND NOW I GO BY YOSEF DOVE. I LIVE IN JERUSALEM,ISRAEL WITH MY YOUNGEST SON AND THREE OF HIS CHILDREN. WHEN I MOVED JON AND I LOST TOUCH AND AM VERY SORRY WE DID. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS THAT WOULD SUM UP HIS CHARACTER. I KNEW DONNA AND USED TO RIDE THE BUS ON HEATHFIELD WITH LORA WHEN WE WERE IN PEARY. DONNA AND LORA I AM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. MAY JON'S MEMORY BE FOR A BLESSING AND MAY THE L-RD COMFORT ALL OF YOU WITH HIS LOVE. SINCERELY, JOSEPH DOVE FROM JERUSALEM,ISRAEL
Jon, and I go back over 26 years, we came into the Electro-Machine shop together as the young guns the party boys The Original Fifth group and most famous for the Travel Club. Jon ,Mark, Terry ,Brian, Frank took some great trips to Utah skiing and West Virginia down the white water of the Gulley river and motorcycle trips to Ocean City. We had such a variety of personalities that we all got a long and had unbelievable times together. Jon was the cultured one of the Bunch at least he thought he was, We new different but he was so much fun to mess with and he took it all in stride. Apart of our inner circle is now gone but he will never be forgotten, God Bless you and god bless your family.
