I had the privilege of being the oldest daughter of one of those first five families who started Annapolis Bible Church, which met at The Key School. Pastor Gerry baptized me in a river. My brother, Jason, and I hammered in two nails into PG's house during the construction. We would drive by to watch progress. Piano lessons by Miss Deannie too. I loved the family vacations to the camping trips, Harvey Cedars Bible Conference.... And our Children's church was the best!! W mr rick gaudet? Love the Smith Family.
What a privilege and honor to have The Gerry Smith as my dad. He was such an amazing example. In all situations and all chapters of life he always kept the Lord first. He truly walked out his faith and reflected the character of Christ. He wore so many hats and wore them all well- dad, grandpa, husband, brother, pastor, teacher, friend, mentor, builder, cabinet maker, "electrician", "plumber", financial advisor and many more. It seemed he could do anything.
I have countless memories, projects, conversations that I will hold so dear to my heart. He will be missed greatly but I'm so thankful and blessed by my dad and all that he poured into me and so many others. What an amazing man this world lost. But I know He is home rejoicing in Heaven with His Lord and Savior and the suffering of this world is over for him. Praise the Lord.

Professor Smith was one of my first professors at Washington Bible College back in 2010. He was always so friendly and encouraging. His resources and teaching style really made studying the Bible enjoyable. Some of his resources have continued to be used to teach other Bible courses as well. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him!
I am eternally grateful to Pastor Gerry for his faithful ministry! His explanation that “believe” means “to trust in, commit to, or rely on” helped me to understand what it truly means to “believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” and to make that decision myself. His godly example of patience through suffering was also an inspiration for how to face life’s difficulties. My life is changed forever by his teaching and example, and I am so grateful for all that the Lord allowed me to learn from his ministry!
