Dear Sandra and Family - I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. It is with fond memories I recall George and myself walking from school down to the dry cleaners where both of our mothers worked. He was far too young to be taken from us, but the Lord saw his suffering and decided to call him home. You all now have a very special guardian angel watching over you.

Let me send my sincerest sympathies to the family of Mr. Hopkins. I had the pleasure of meeting him about 12 years ago and you knew what a kind genuine person he was right from the begining. From sharing duties at the Glen Burnie carnival soda stand to waiting on him at the bank, he always had a smile and a kind word. He will be greatly missed.
Mark has many good memories of George. They would meet at the cemetery and pass the time while waiting for the procession of cars. Our sincere sympathy to his loved ones.

George was a joy to know - he always had a smile and a handshake for everyone. He was the most creative Christmastime decorator ever!. The Hopkins' home was a spectacular sight every Christmas, inside and outside ~ George took it over the top every year, much to everyone's delight!. Heaven will now be more beautiful every Christmas, with George on the job. Sandy and family, he will be greatly missed by all of us who were lucky enough to have known him..

There are very few people who enter into our lives which make a lasting impression. George was always smiling, friendly, concerned, caring, and loved people! Hugh and I loved staying with him when he was in the convelescent home. He would try to cheer us up rather than the opposite :-) The last time I fixed food for him, he said that he would like eggplant. Sandy told us that he loved it, but she ate some of it also!
