Frank was our dearly loved heart and mainstay at the Gold Coast International Early Birds.
He greeted each of us by name, prayed for every one of us, and many of us felt the love inside those prayers. He was humble, patient, and an extraordinary listener. Where there was discord in others lives, he brought peace. Where there was pain, he brought kindness.
Most of us didn't even know how unwell he was. He never complained — he just showed up, loving and steady, to the very end.
He gave his international friends a home in AA that is truly rare. We will carry him with us every morning.

I've know Frank for probably 25 years and been in very frequent contact for maybe half that time in the earlier portion. Frank was one of the people in a circle of many that help save and provide me a new way of live within the world without the need for Alcohol to cope with life. His contributions to Alcoholic Anonymous were immeasurable, and the example provided just by his way of living and suggestions he made showed others that this works and can work for anyone that wants it. See in the great meeting in the Sky, Frank. We'll keep reminding others that want to, to "Free Yourself."
Frank was a truly bright spark. He was endlessly kind and supportive. He shall be missed.

"Hi Jackie" I'd hear everytime I logged onto our GCIEB Zoom meeting. Frank made me feel special, he made me feel welcomed and safe. He showed me through role modelling how to live a life in recovery, not only surviving, but thriving. To feel this energy over Zoom when he was in America and I am in New Zealand is pretty special. I'll always remember him saying "Service keeps you sober", and to have the priviledge of being invited into his hospice room for a Zoom meeting, was an act of humility, love and the sign of a man who worked the programme and did service right through to his last days. Frank's ripple effect will stay with all of us eternally and we are all blessed to have experienced his message, kindness and generosity through our lives.
