Sorry to have to hear of Claire's passing and to have lost contact with her and Wendy over the years.
I still have fond memories of visits to her and Aunt Clara's house in Great Neck (right near the LIRR railroad tracks). Us kids (I and sister Sue were very young, Claire and Dickie were precocious teens) would escape to the basement to look at Dickie's latest projects and do some singing in an enclosed porch around the piano. Claire had an amazing voice at that age too. The adults would have loud "discussions". And a few times we took a walk to a nearby park and the town part.
We also saw Clara, Claire and Dickie at Thanksgiving dinners at my Grandfather Louis and Grandmother Clara's house, also in Great Neck. And a few times there were poker games afterwards, but us kids couldn't play most times.
I also remember my fathers' cousin Wesley Pase always had small yachts in Huntington and several times we went out on them. I believe Claire (maybe Dickie also?) also went on his boats several times. One time we also visited with the Trimmers in Northport on the way home from somewhere else to our place in Syosset. They were nice enough to invite us for dinner. I wish I remembered more detail, but after 50 years???
Well---good memories anyway!
Much love---Rich Weidmann
