Midge's family,

I cried when I read about Midge, and I have tears in my eyes as I write this, though I have not seen Midge in 53 years. For Jeannie, and perhaps Fran and Joan, I am Linda who lived across the court in Skyland in Washington DC. I discovered Facebook, and discovered Midge's entry within the last few months. I wrote several times, and now I know why I didn't hear. I remember Midge so fondly..she played with me though I was 4 years younger, and she always treated me so kindly. Please, family members contact me on Facebook. I have pictures of Midge and Jeannie and I I'd love to share. Please also tell me more about Midge. She was very dear.

It grieved me that I couldn’t be there for Midge’s memorial service. If there was any way I could have been there, I would have. I didn’t get to say goodbye, which makes losing her all the more difficult to accept.

Knowing Midge was a joy and a privilege, and I and everyone who knew her was blessed that she considered us her friends. Those of us who spent many a night with her at G&Gs or the Holiday Inn have wonderful memories that we can cherish for the rest of our lives. One thing for sure -- she loved her children and her sisters. I’ve never known a family so devoted. We now must find a way to mend and find peace in a world without her. We don’t know what happens after death, but I do believe there is a new star in God’s heaven, and its name is Midge.

Please accept my condolences on your loss. I have very fond memories of working with Midge at Gallaudet. Not only was she a 'go to' person when I had a question, but, she was always welcoming, friendly, and would make me laugh. She was one of the people that made Gallaudet feel like family. May you find peace in the lifetime of memories you have shared together.

Dear McNamara Family: I wanted to send my deepest and most sincere condolences during this unfortunate time in your life, but I also wanted to share with your family a comforting promise that God gives in his Word the bible about the possibility of us seeing our dead loved ones again, its found at John 5:28,29 which reads in part: Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life. Your family will be in my prayers, my sincere condolences.
