Ann was my dearest friend and compatriot since we met working at the Beltsville Burger King 47 years ago. She was an absolute joy to be with - whether on a day trip to Baltimore, riding the coasters at Six Flags, or just hanging together at a local ice cream shop or playing an intense game of Trivial Pursuit, Boom, 20 Questions or I Should Have Known That. These battle of the mind games had become a passion for her the past few years, and she would bike from Capitol Hill to College Park - beat me (usually) - then bike back to Capitol Hill! Through thick and thin Ann was always there for me, and I was always there for her. They say you can 'light a candle' for someone who has passed, but a million candles will not even slightly brighten the darkness her passing has brought into my life and the lives of so many others. Rest well my dear friend - someday, somehow, God willing,we will be together again.
