Back in the early '90s, we were informed that a sharp new Sailor who really knew his stuff well was going to be working with us. Alan more than lived up to his billing! It has been years since I've seen him, but I will always remember his sense of humor and his smile. Oh, and that he really knew his stuff well! He was one of those people who you liked working with and for, because if he was leading you somewhere it was usually exciting; and somehow he made whatever he was doing better than it was before. His passion for what he did was infectious; we wanted to do well because Alan inspired us to want nothing less. He will be missed. To Becca and the children, my thoughts, my prayers, and a big hug from across the miles! Tony Tezak

Uncle Alan, It was a pleasure knowing you and welcoming you into our family. Your smile and way of looking at life will be greatly missed.
Aunt Becca,
I am writing to extend my deepest condolences to you and the children. I am so sad to hear about Uncle Alan, he was such a wonderful man, husband, dad, uncle and so much more.
I am honored to have had the pleasure to know him and welcome him into the family. I had the greatest respect for him and will miss his smile, the way he always asked when I was going to finish "that" book, and his goofy sense of humor.
Please let me know whether there is anything I can do to help during this difficult time. You and your children are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love always,
Stephanie
