Woodrow Maynard Lawson, Sr.'s Obituary
Woodrow Maynard Lawson, Sr. (70) of Annapolis, MD passed away on July 23, 2016.
Born in Maryland, Mr. Lawson was the son of the late Windsor and Ruby (Thompson) Lawson. In 1965 he was drafted in the U.S. Army, where he received the honorable qualification of Expert (Rifle M-14). He was honorably discharged in 1967. Upon returning from the military, Mr. Lawson began what would become a life long career as a Truck Driver. In 1998 he began his own company, DryBulk Tanker Services.
He is survived by his son, Woodrow “Woody” Lawson, Jr.; daughter, Donna Lawson; grandchildren, Ryan, Nathan, Nikki and Kelsey Lawson, Devin Dean and Blaine Dunn; great grandson, Tyler Lawson; sister, Doris Chaney; and nephew, Marvin Lawson.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 1st at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, August 2nd at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
