William Thomas Weaver's Obituary
William “Bill” Thomas Weaver, 101, of Edgewater, MD passed away on February 8, 2023 at the Arbor Terrace Assisted Living Facility in Gambrills, MD. He was born on September 4, 1921 in Washington, D.C., one of six children of the late Ethel and Pierce Weaver of Mitchellville, MD. He is survived by a brother Ralph Weaver of Bethesda, MD. William served in the US Coast Guard during World War II and received the Asia-Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and the American Area Campaign Medal. Following his military service, he and Robert Skidmore constructed many custom homes in the Millersville and Gambrills area under the company name of Weaver and Skidmore. William was preceded in death by his wife Margaret of 75 years.
Margaret Eleanor Weaver, 96, of Edgewater, MD passed away on January 3, 2021 at the Arbor Terrace Assisted Living Facility in Gambrills, MD. She was born on April 19, 1924 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Eleanor (Sisson) Coggins and Irving “Bert” Coggins of Severna Park, MD. Margaret graduated from the University of Maryland with honors and was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She worked for many years at American Express in Washington, D.C. and later for over 20 years at Arundel Rug Cleaners in Annapolis, MD.
Bill (Pop) and Margaret (Mimi) Weaver were the loving parents of Linda (Eric) Fromm of Annapolis, MD. Grandparents of two dear grandchildren, Lisa (Shawn) Patrick and Niels (Christy) Fromm. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren.
A private burial service is planned at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church in Millersville, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to the church at 921 Generals Highway, Millersville, MD 21108.
