The John Paul Jones Chapter, Maryland Society Sons of the American Revolution wishes to express our collective sorrow upon learning of the recent death of Compatriot Walker. He was a proud descendant of the American Revolutionary War Patriot - Private Elisha Richards - who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation on 3 July 1778 at the 'Battle of Wyoming' in the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania. Private Richards was a member of the 24th Connecticut Militia Regiment, a unit established by the Connecticut legislature in May 1775 to defend the Wyoming Valley (modern-day Luzerne County, Pennsylvania), a land area which Connecticut then claimed based on overlapping colonial charters. The John Paul Jones Chapter will forever remember Compatriot Walker, and we thank the Lord for Compatriot Walker's membership and brotherhood. www.johnpauljonessar.org
