William Joseph Parkinson, Sr.'s Obituary
William Joseph Parkinson, Sr., "Bill" passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.
Bill is survived by his wife of 66 years, Frankie Mauk Parkinson; three sons: William J. Parkinson, Jr., Michael E. Parkinson, and Donald S. Parkinson; one granddaughter, Morgan A. (Will) Puckett; two great-grandsons: William and Colby Puckett; two sisters: Anna Basil and Frances Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Theodore T. Parkinson and Evelyn Parkinson Bergen; two sisters: Betty Roseberry and Joanne Bergen Langley; and two brothers: Theodore Parkinson and George H. Parkinson.
Bill worked as a tow truck driver and auto mechanic for over 20 years with Winegardners and Hardesty & Monroe in Edgewater. He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter and great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Luminus Hospice. A celebration of Bill's life will be scheduled for a future date.
