Bill was such a lovely man, kind, gentle, wise and certainly a leader of men - and always with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. He welcomed me like an old friend when I first joined AAF&G and I always looked forward to seeing him. His passing makes me very, very sad. My thoughts, prayers and condolences go to his family and friends.
Even though I was a year older than Bill, he was like a terrific big brother to me for more than 20 fun years. God bless him.
I knew Bill as a board member of the Maryland State Rifle and Pistol Association. I will miss his humor and advice during our meetings. May his family find comfort in knowing he is at peace.
Bill Palk was a great man and a better friend who made people become welcomed members of his communities. Bill was generous, thoughtful, funny, wise and enjoyed warm fellowship with a wide circle of people lucky enough to call themselves friends. His public and volunteer service was long and distinguished, and he had a subtle knack for converting complainers into volunteers. He’s sorely missed!
