Sending love and fond remembrances from one branch of the Florida Hanson tree (by way of Bill's cousin Betty Hanson Kuehner, my late mom). I am so sad to hear this extremely sad news ... though the miles are many and the reunions too few, my memories of Aunt Cass's "Bill" are warm and sunny. Always kind, always inquisitive, always thoughtful and generous. And the devoted care he gave to Jeannette is a powerful life lesson. He was a true role model much like the Hanson men who preceded him and those he shaped and nurtured.

Very sorry and sad to hear this news...My favorite Hanson reunion was the one held at Uncle Bill's and Aunt Jeanette's - campers galore, Hanson Hooch jugs, Uncle Tommy Demo tipping the canoe....speeding up and down the Pasedena....his devotion to family and Aunt Jeanette was immeasurable. RJ and I are thinking of you all.

Watching you work on your car, boat, wood workshop, and beehive throughout the years showed me your passion and integrity in everything you did in life. Most important was the fact you were not only a great grandfather to myself, Jenna, Chelsea, and Dylan, but a great husband to Jeanette, father to (Bill, Frank, and Van) father-in-law to (Chom Cha, Sandy, Patty, and Katie) brother to (Jim and Larry) and many more family and friends.
Grandpa thank you for taking care of grandma. We know you always put grandma first; because of you we all learned compassion. We know that you are no longer in pain, and in a place that is more amazing than the best possible day here on Earth. We also know that this is just a temporary goodbye. We know we will see you again. We are counting on it.
