William Henry Galloway's Obituary
William Henry Galloway affectionately known as "Henry" was born on June 6, 1944 to the late John and Florence Galloway.
William graduated from Wiley H. Bates High and Bowie State University (formerly Bowie State). He was an educator, and his career included the Anne Arundel County Public School System and the Baltimore County Public School System. William was a member of Hope St. Mark United Methodist Church. In earlier years he was a Sunday School teacher. He enjoyed reading the Bible, the Upper Room book, listening to gospel music and playing games on his iPad.
William was a very generous person. He would give his last dime to anyone. He loved talking on the phone, which he did for hours at a time. As soon as he finished one conversation, he would immediately dial another number. He cherished his niece, nephew, great nieces and nephews. He was always inquiring about their position on their jobs, their grades in school and what classes they were taking in college. He wanted to know the whole ten yards. He liked talking to them about all sports, but he especially loved football, basketball, and baseball.
William was preceded in death by his parents: John and Florence Galloway; sister, Emma Sales; and brother-in-law, Dr. Addison B. Sales, DDS. He leaves to cherish his memory, one sister, Anna Galloway of Davidsonville, MD; niece, Linsey Sales of Columbia, South Carolina; nephew Dr. Ibrahim Sales of Saudi Arabia and Maymoonah Sales of Tampa, Florida; great nieces and nephews, Mahmood Sales, Nusaybah Sales, Eesaa Sales, Maryam Sales, Moosaa Sales and Hafsah Sales all of Tampa, Florida; bonus cousin, Carolyn Parker Adams (Jonathan); special friend, Shirley Howell; devoted friends, James Webb, and Della Webb of Atlanta, Georgia; devoted chat friends, James Broxton, Mary F. Galloway, Richard Galloway, Frederick Howard and a host of relatives and friends.
