Werner Otto Stenzel's Obituary
Werner Otto Stenzel, aged 86, passed away on December 30, 2024, surrounded by his children in Annapolis, Maryland. Born on October 16, 1938, in Mittendorf, Germany, Werner was known for his generous spirit, adventurous nature, and industrious approach to life. He was the life of the party, always curious and passionate, deeply committed to his family, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
Werner’s professional life spanned several decades at West Weld Supply Company, a company he built, where he worked from 1979 until his retirement. His dedication and hard work were evident in his professional achievements and the respect he earned from his colleagues. He greatly enjoyed his relationships fostered at The Volksfest Kulturhaus (GAI) and the Oldtimers Kickers FC in the Twin Cities.
A man of many interests, Werner was an avid dancer, enjoyed walking, and loved to travel. He was also passionate about tennis, soccer, swimming, gardening, cooking, and raising cattle. His endurance for long nordic skiing treks and his joy in entertaining friends were unmatched. Werner had a special talent for nurturing and nourishing his children and grandchildren, who will remember him as a remarkable and loving figure in their lives.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Suzy; daughters, Eva (Imran) and Ingrid (Lucas); and grandchildren, Ameena (Usama), Musa, Safa, Tula, Marwa, Lorenzo, and Sakeena.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the International Red Cross; they reunited Werner with his mother long ago. Please send stories and photos to lastingtributesfuneralcare.com or by mail.
