Wendy Kay Murphy's Obituary
Wendy Kay Murphy died suddenly on November 21, 2016. Wendy was 53 years old. She was the beloved daughter of Lora Mae Stickler of San Antonio, Texas and sister of Tammy Jay Norman (her husband, John) of Annapolis, Maryland. Wendy graduated from Old Mill High School in 1982. Wendy was a Fiscal Account Lead for the State of Maryland, Department of Housing & Community Development for 29 years. Wendy loved spending time reading, sewing, crocheting, knitting and making all kinds of crafts, especially jewelry. She supplemented her income by making earrings to sell. Wendy was looking forward to retiring and moving to Texas with her mother. She is also survived by two brothers, Donald Shoemake and Christopher Stickler, both of San Antonio, TX; and three more sisters, Shirley Garcia, Oklahoma City, OK; Mary Stickler Villaneuva, San Antonio, TX; Tommi Brown, (her husband, Ben), Annapolis, MD, three nephews, Andrew Stickler, Annapolis, MD; John Norman, Baltimore, MD; Allen Norman, (his wife, Holly), Glen Burnie, MD; two nieces Lorah Norman, Baltimore, MD; and Ally Brown, Annapolis, MD. Wendy was proceeded in death by her father, George Stickler; grandparents, Carl Allen Shoemake and Johnnie Mae Shoemake; Uncle Wayne Shoemake; Aunts Bobbie Tracy and Vickie Wall. A private family service will be held at a future date in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flower please send a donation to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, 1518 K.
