Wellington Harrison's Obituary
Wellington Dewitt Harrison, 49, was born on May 14, 1964. The son of the late Joe Louis Harrison and Ellean Thomas Harrison. After enduring a lengthy illness, Wellington departed this life on Sunday January 26, 2014.
Wellington, affectionately known as “King” and to others as “BoBo” received his education through Anne Arundel County Public School System. Over the past years “King” worked at Pleasant Living Nursing Home, Dean’s Tire, and Stidham Tire. Presently, “King” was currently doing side jobs for family and friends such as car washing, moving and hauling, and babysitting. His favorite team was the Washington Redskins. “King” was the families “clown”. ALWAYS on joke time. Mr. Cool, Calm, and Collected. He enjoyed having a good time and listening to Oldies but Goodies music. One of his most memorable lines would be, “Imma do me baby”.
He leaves to cherish his memory 9 siblings: Sheila Whittington, Shadyside, MD; Sharon Joyce, Hanover, MD; Tessa Harrison, Severn, MD; Joanne and Vivian Harrison, Glen Burnie, MD; Wyseola, Jolyn, Vernon, and Phillip Harrison, Annapolis, MD; four aunts: Josephine Joyce, Christine Belt, Darlene Colbert, and Shirley Anne Belt; two uncles: James and Raymond Thomas; sister-in-law Cheryl Harrison, and three brothers-in-law: Frank Butler, Larry Whittington, and Samuel Joyce. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joe Louis Harrison and Ellean Thomas Harrison; brother Sterling W. Harrison; Sister Sandra L. Butler; three aunts: Anna Mae, Marie, and Doreen Thomas. Also left to cherish his memories were 2 devoted friends: John Cowan (Surge) and Patina Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
