Troy Dwayne Green's Obituary
Troy Dwayne Green departed this life suddenly on May 15, 2026.
Troy was born on September 2,1975 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the oldest child of Sandra E. and the late David Green, weighing in at 9lbs, 6oz and 21 inches long; he only kept growing.
Troy attended Anne Arundel County Public Schools and was a 1993 graduate of Old Mill High School. Earning a full scholarship to the University of Baltimore County (UMBC). He graduated in 1997 as a Rhodes Scholar with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He went on to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Georgia – home of the Georgia Bulldogs, and became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
As an avid sports fan, Troy obtained a mentorship at WBAL – Baltimore Channel 11 under the tutelage of Jerry Sandusky. That mentorship paved the way for his expansion as a Public Relations Specialist. He became the face of: AAA National, Department of Transportation (NHTSA), National Association of Realtors (NAR), and Wilson Sonsini.
He even returned to his Alma Mater as the voice of “Retriever Nation” UMBC men’s & women’s basketball. In addition to his love for sports, Troy had an equal love for music, especially old school hip-hop. One of his best memories was attending the National 50 Years of Hip-Hop. His favorite group was A Tribe Called Quest.
On September 8, 2009, Troy was united in marriage to Trina R. Myers. From this union 1 child was born, Isaiah Troy Green, and 2 daughters united, Diamond K. & Jewel K. Golston.
Troy was baptized in 1989 at Wilson Memorial Church. He was then re-baptized with his family in October 2008, as they joined The New Psalmist Baptist Church.
Troy loved to travel and indulge in new experiences, such as traveling to Maine where the family caught and ate their own lobsters.
