Thera Ann Dorsey-Johnson, 56, was born on November 16, 1962, in Annapolis, Maryland, to the Alva R. Handy and the late James R. Dorsey, Sr. Thera departed this life on January 16, 2019.
Thera attended Annapolis Senior High School and South River Technical School, where she studied Cosmetology. Thera attended New Creations Deliverance Ministries where Bishop Charles E. Carroll is the Pastor.
Thera resided in Glen Burnie, Maryland, after living in Hollywood, California for over 30 years. Thera returned to her roots and her family, here in Annapolis in 2015.
Thera is preceded in death by two sisters; Tammy and Terri Dorsey, her aunt; Yvonne Tooles, her niece; Myrtle Hopkins and Nephew; Donta Cook.
Thera leaves to cherish her memories, Mother; Alva R. Handy, seven sisters; Sheila, Pat, Karen, Tonia, Velma, Iris and Devoted sister, Timberly, four brothers; Broderick, Al, Stanley, and James; her aunts, Phyllis Strait and Betty Dorsey; her uncles, Alfred (Monya) and Eddie Dorsey and Robert Randall, and her Godmother, Essie Brown.
Thera also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews and nieces and extended family and friends.
