Susan Marie Pazulski's Obituary
Susan “Sue” Marie Pazulski (Phillips), 59, of Wilmington, North Carolina, died on December 1, 2022, while bravely battling cancer. She was born on June 1, 1963, to the late Lois Phillips (Dickinson) and Robert Phillips, in Frankfurt, Germany.
Sue was raised in New Carrollton and was a 1981 graduate of Parkdale High School in Riverdale, Maryland. She excelled at softball and basketball, winning the basketball state championship her senior year. She worked as a respiratory therapist, for 38 years, at Prince George’s Hospital Center and Annapolis Asthma, Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists. She married her husband Joe in September of 1986. Together they raised their daughters in Severn, Maryland, before retiring and moving to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2020.
Her husband and daughters were everything to her. They will remember her bright smile, her contagious laughter and the way she lived her life with fierce love, selflessness and humor. Sue cherished her family and friends; she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, godmother, cousin and friend. She enjoyed spending time outdoors (especially at Wrightsville Beach), kayaking, listening/dancing to 70s and 80s music and reading books. She was a renowned pierogi maker and an excellent moped driver. She loved walking her granddog Miller and enjoying a cold beer while watching the sun set. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and Airlie Gardens.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Pazulski, daughters Stephanie Pazulski and Aniela Pazulski, brothers Robert Phillips, Paul Phillips and Jeffrey Phillips, sisters Karen Fawkes and Kathryn Nagy. As well as her extended family including many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Words cannot describe how greatly she will be missed.
A Catholic mass will be held at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church (1070 Cecil Avenue South, Millersville, Maryland, 21108) on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life in her honor in the Parish Hall.
