Susan Taylor Cramer's Obituary
Susan Taylor (Flohr) Cramer left her life on Earth on June 2nd 2021, one week short of her 75th birthday. While holding the hands of her sister and niece, she went to be with her Lord, but she has touched far more lives than just those. She was born in Waynesboro, PA and was the pride and joy of Stanley Flohr and Helene Taylor. Six years later, she became the older sister of Candace Flohr (Moffatt). She was a beloved member of the Waynesboro Area Senior High School Class of 1964 and attended college at Shenandoah. An example of strength, determination, and faith, Susan overcame many challenges in her life, including a devastating bus accident that left her learning how to walk and talk again at the age of 20. She went on to marry and be a proud mother of daughter Jennifer Dawn Cramer (Shaffer). Her career in child care at Noah's Ark at Christ United Methodist Church was a good fit for a woman who put others before herself, cared tirelessly for her family, community, and neighbors, and was a follower of Jesus Christ. Christ Church was a home to her and she was active and loved within the church community, volunteering at the Lunch Place and singing in the choir for many years. While Waynesboro will always be the home in her heart, she also resided in Michigan and most recently, Maryland. Susie enjoyed playing games, doing word puzzles, shopping and being with other people who she could connect with and care for. She is survived by her sister and brother in law, Candace and Timothy Moffatt, her niece Lauren Taylor Moffatt, her daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Christopher Shaffer, granddaughters Sydney and Mikayla, and best friend Sally Weagley. She leaves behind many heartbroken family and friends in Waynesboro, Hagerstown, New Baltimore, Annapolis, and Bowie, though many of them rest assured that she is finally at peace, and she will be waiting to see them again and take them for a latte or a Kahlua and Cream.
