Steven A. Woodall's Obituary
Steven Albert Woodall of Annapolis, MD, formerly of Grasonville, MD, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2024 at his home, Arnold, Maryland. He was 62.
Steve Woodall was born on January 09, 1962 in Abington, PA to the late Lester Woodall and Alberta Woodall. He graduated from Annapolis High School, Annapolis, MD. Steve attended Anna Arundel Community College and soon started a career in the golf business. He was the Head Golf Professional at Annapolis Roads Golf Club, in Annapolis, MD. Once his daughter was born, in order to be more present in her life, he decided to leave the golf business. For many years, Steve was the Warehouse Manager at Eastern Waterproofing, in Jessup, MD. Years later, Steve became the Assistant Golf Professional at Queenstown Harbor Golf Club, in Queenstown, MD.
Steve enjoyed his time playing golf and watching the final rounds of PGA Majors on Sundays. Steve was a long time member at Prospect Bay Country Club, in Grasonville, MD, where he made so many memories and met some of his best friends. He found joy in developing the next generation of young golfers, being active in starting multiple Jr. golf programs at multiple golf clubs. Steve was a loyal fan of the Washington Commanders, always hoping for a better season the next year. He enjoyed listening to 70s music, playing songs by Earth, Wind & Fire, The Jackson 5, and Stevie Wonder. He was an avid movie goer and always enjoyed something that was action packed or could make him hysterically laugh. Steve’s favorite pass time was sitting by the water and eating Maryland crabs. Most of all, Steve enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and his dog Mia.
Mr. Woodall is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Woodall of Baltimore, MD; his brother, John Woodall and his wife Stephanie of Edgewater, MD; his two nieces, Diana Szekely and Caroline Titus of Annapolis, MD; and his nephew Nicholas Woodall of Edgewater, MD.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date, by his daughter.
