Sharon Diane Billings' Obituary
Sharon Diane Billings was known for many things during her 65 years of age. She was known as a loving mother, a devoted wife, and a lifelong friend.
Sharon was born on May 5th, 1956 in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Growing up, Sharon sang in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Choir and eventually started her own business as a daycare provider. In early 1990, Sharon met her future husband, Donald Billings. They were married in the Glen Lutheran Church on October 27th, 1990.
At the age of 31, Sharon gave birth to Benjaman, followed by twins Morgan and Phillip two years later. On September 1st, 2019, Don and Sharon moved from Glen Burnie to their own house in Sistersville, WV. Don and Sharon shared many fond memories with their pets Isabella, Nervy, and Sugar.
In August of 2021, Sharon was severely injured in a fall at her home. Sharon suffered a spinal cord injury resulting in paralysis below her neck. Sharon never gave up hope for her condition and strived to get better with her family supporting her every step of the way. At 10:06pm on December 30th, 2021, Sharon passed away due to an infection that spread to her heart. Sharon died peacefully with her family by her side.
Sharon was smart, funny, a good mother, a perfect wife, and a good friend. She loved music, especially big band music and she loved to dance. One of her favorite pastimes was watching old movies, old westerns, and old comedies on television. She had a great sense of humor and a great laugh. Sharon loved to laugh.
More than anything, Sharon wanted to be part of a family. When she moved to Sistersville to be closer to her in-laws, friends, and neighbors, her wish came true. Sharon was especially close to Judy, Bessie, Sandy, and Bobbie Jo.
Sharon will be dearly missed by her family, including her husband, Don, her three sons, Ben, Morgan, and Phillip, her daughters Naomi, Mckenna, and Dally, and her pets, Isabella, Nervy, and Sugar. The family will have a private service with Sharon’s extended family at a later date
