Scott Thomas Ramsey's Obituary
Scott Thomas Ramsey passed away on February 12, 2024 at the age of 55 from cirrhosis of the liver. His death occurred peacefully at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD.
Scott was born to Lt. Col. Roger and Diane Ramsey on May 1, 1968. He grew up in Shady Side, MD; enjoying the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, hanging out at his dad’s marina (Berlitz Marine), and driving around his Cadillac (Betty) with his friends. He graduated from Southern Senior High School in 1986 and went on to earn his BA in International Studies at West Virginia University.
Scott married his first wife, Karen, in 1994. A few years later he took on what he considered his most significant role, as a father to David (born in 1997) and to Daniel (born in 2003). He later married his second wife, Joni, in 2019.
Scott had a strong work ethic and took pride in being a great salesman. Despite being underage, he earned his first job as a waiter because of his incredible people skills. He went on to have a successful career as a Sales Account Executive, specializing in Information Technology for the government sector. He had a huge respect for the military and he appreciated that his job gave him the opportunity to serve those who serve our country.
Scott had a larger-than-life personality–you couldn’t help but notice when he entered the room. He was a force of nature–impossible to contain and impossible to forget! He is survived by his wife, Joni; his two sons, David and Daniel; and his sister, Suzanne.
The family will hold an informal memorial gathering on March 7, 2024 at the Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road in Annapolis, MD. This will be an opportunity for friends and family to come together to remember Scott. Those who wish to attend are welcome anytime between 2pm-5pm. Light refreshments will be served.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to The Lighthouse in Annapolis, MD: https://annapolislighthouse.org/donate/
