Rue Ann "Aunt Tottie" Dubel's Obituary
Rue Ann “Aunt Tottie” Dubel of Stevensville, MD passed away on June 25, 2015. She was 86.
Born January 26, 1929 in Bayard, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Burnard “Jack” and Rue Belle Ginn Dubel. She graduated from St. Heart Academy in Klamath Falls, OR in the class of 1946. She then received her bachelors degree from Ursuline College in New Orleans, LA. She was a librarian and taught elementary library science in Beaufort, SC and then in Wilmington public schools for 40 yrs.
She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Education Society, the Wilmington, Delaware Kennel Club, the St. James Episcopal Church and Kent Island United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially on river boats and she also enjoyed her dogs.
She is survived by several cousins, Robert Dubel and David Dubel both of Baltimore, MD; Jack Smith of Galesville, MD; Su and Donald Cosden of Shadyside, MD and Kathy and Mark Dubel of Stevensville, MD.
A visitation will be held on July 13th between the hours of 11am and 1 pm, where a funeral service will follow at 1pm, at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD 21401. Burial will immediately follow at Quaker Cemetery, Galesville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chester Wye Center, Inc. at 436 Grasonville Cemetery Rd, Grasonville, MD 21638
