Rosemary Carroll Schaeffer's Obituary
Rosemary Carroll Schaeffer passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2026.
Born in Washington, D.C., Rosemary was the cherished daughter of John Carroll and Genevieve Carroll. She devoted her life to her family and was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for those around her.
Rosemary was married to the love of her life, Joseph Ronald Schaeffer, and together they raised six children. She was a devoted mother to Joseph Schaeffer, Deborah Jackson, Mary Hough, Karen Mitcheltree (Mark), and Ann Johnson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Ronald Schaeffer, and her daughter, JoAnn L. Mess.
Rosemary leaves behind a large and loving family, including 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with her family and took great joy in watching future generations grow.
Later in life, Rosemary found companionship with Ronald Lample, with whom she shared 17 wonderful years.
Rosemary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose faith, compassion, and dedication to her family touched many lives. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge #2279, located at 1401 Snug Harbor Road, Shady Side, Maryland 20764.
