Rosalie Sinclair Zillig's Obituary
Rosalie (Lee) Zillig passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021, at her home in Arnold, MD, surrounded by her loving family. Lee was born on March 12, 1940 in Annapolis, MD to Rosalie and LCDR Noble Louis Taber. Lee is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, David Zillig. She is also survived by her sister Suzanne, her grandchildren, Michelle & Christine Ziegler, two great grandchildren, Tara and Izabella, her niece, Adriana, and several nieces and nephews.
Lee will join her wonderful sons, Rick and Keith, who preceded her in death, as well as her brother Johnny, her parents, and her grandmother “Dee Dee”.
Lee loved life and was extremely talented. For years, sailing was a passion of hers and she fiercely competed in Wednesday night races, usually winning. She was a talented artist, loved gardening and published a wonderful “Gardening Guide”.
Lee was a great hostess and loved having family over to swim, eat steamed crabs and then relax in the hot tub.
The world has lost a shining star. Lee will be missed by all who had the honor to know her.
A memorial will be held at Lasting Tributes Funeral Care, located at 814 Bestgate Road, in Annapolis, on Monday, August 2, 2021, with a memorial gathering beginning at 2:00 pm and the memorial service following at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Anne Arundel County Animal Shelter.
