My thoughts go back to a letter that was shared with me by Brother Charlie Sphier. I received this letter shortly after Brother Britton passed. The letter was titled "The Autumn of My Life". It was during the blessing of one of our Homecoming dinners that Charlie stated he realized what had crept into his mind - the meaning of Delta Tau Delta and its brotherhood and the everlasting feeling about one another. I too have had these feelings about us and that we have all had special moments with those that have passed. I have come to the conclusion that we should take the time to share with the remaining brothers as often as possible and celebrate often. Ron will be missed. He loved to harmonize to Delta Tau. So sorry to hear of your husband’s passing, Ceel.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ceel,
So sorry for your loss.
We have fond memories of the houseboat trips to Barkley Lake Ky with the Butler Delts and wives and the Butler Homecoming times together. Know everyone would enjoy seeing you again at Homecoming this year. Plans are already in place! Think about it!
Fondly,
Penny and Dwight
I was a roommate of Ron at Butler(DELTA TAU DELTA) for two years. I then went on to
med school at IU,internship, and three years in the air force. I then started my urology residency at Mayo's but transferred to Vanderbilt to complete my training. Well,I was
surprised to see my new boss---RON WATHEN!!! His wife had gone into renal failure
from lupus and that had stimulated him to enter nephrology. Also he was from Evansville and I was from Boonville and we used to share rides back and forth from Butler and home. Ron.Furnish,Davis and I shared a room for three years;shared fraternity for a life time; medical careers and I believe we were quite successful.
May GOD grant RON eternal rest and bless his soul
