Ronald William Richter's Obituary
Ronald (Ron) William Richter, passed away peacefully on April 4, in Annapolis, MD, at the age of 85. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 65 years, Margaret, and the most patient, loving father to his three daughters, with whom he shared his love of the outdoors, taking them camping and fishing as they grew up. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
In his younger years, Ron loved to fly fish and hunt in the mountains of Pennsylvania, where he was born and raised. He enlisted in the United States Navy at 17, proudly serving our country for 22-plus years. He met and married Margaret in England, taking his family with him to duty stations in the U.S., the Philippines, Midway Island, and Germany. After his retirement from the military, Ron continued his career, working for Lockheed Martin for 20 years, always respected and giving his best. After retiring from Lockheed, Ron moved on to work for FiberPlus for a number of years, before finally deciding he was truly ready to retire at age 75. Ron was a much-admired mentor to many during his career.
Our family was truly blessed to have this amazing, caring, and devoted family man in our lives. Ron is now resting in peace in God’s hands. Forever in our hearts. We will always miss him.
Ron’s family is holding a private Celebration of Life. In Ron’s memory, please consider making a donation to either the Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or the Tunnels to Tower Foundation (https://t2t.org).
