Bob was predeceased by his Parents: Otto C.H. and Frieda Schellhase, retired owners of Schellhase’s Restaurant in Baltimore.
Bob graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute June 1960 and Bucknell University, PA June 1965 with a BS degree in electrical engineering. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity (Kappa Chapper) during college. Bob was also a member of the Severna Park Elks Lodge for 13 years and served as Treasurer for one year.
His first job after graduating from Bucknell University in PA was atAircraft Armaments Inc. (AAI) in Cockeysville, MD. In 1975 Bob went to work for the Federal Government as a civil servant with the Coast Guard in the Loran “C” Navagation Division and then worked for NSA until his retirement in 1995.
Bob had many interests & hobbies including, woodworking, phototography, flying (he took flying lessons in 1970’s), boating, fishing & crabbing. Together we spent 25 years renovating our old house on South Dr in Severna Park until his health deteriorated and he couldn’t walk down to the boat dock. Bob could fix anything. In fact, our granddaughter Hannah made him a sign for his workshop “If Poppop can’t fix it, we’re screwed”.
The most joy he had in life was playing with his 5 grandchildren out on his boat “Seaschell” or on family trips.
