Robert Lee Langley Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Lee Langley Sr., affectionately known as “Bob,” passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, following a long illness.
Bob was born on December 27, 1946, in Bardstown, Kentucky, to John and Evelyn Langley.
After graduating from Bloomfield High School in 1964, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. During his service, he was stationed in Vietnam as a jet engine technician until his honorable discharge in 1968.
Following his military service, Bob built a successful career in the real estate industry. He traveled extensively across the country, working as a manager for Pulte Homes in locations ranging from Washington State to Georgia. Eventually, his journey brought him to the Maryland/Washington, D.C. area, where he met Beverly, a real estate agent who would become his wife in 1986. Together, Bob and Bev founded their own real estate brokerage, which they successfully operated for more than 30 years.
Bob had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed
recreational shooting, and treasured the camaraderie of his close circle of friends. He was also a devoted dog lover and a loyal season ticket holder for the Baltimore Ravens.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Evelyn Langley; his son, Michael; his grandson, Trent; his grandmother, Elizabeth; and his aunt and uncle, Jean and Alec and cousin Anne.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly; his children, whom he loved deeply, Robert Jr., Brent (Stephanie), Beth (Kevin), and Alex (Peter); his brother, Jack; and his cherished
grandchildren, Shelby, Addison, Zayne, Emme, and Nash.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Severna Park United Methodist Church. Interment will be private.
Bob will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his entrepreneurial spirit, and the lasting friendships he built throughout his life.
