Robert Perkins Fletcher III's Obituary
Robert P. Fletcher III (Rob) died unexpectedly on December 5, 2021 in Annapolis, MD., at the age of 47. Rob was born in Baltimore, MD on May 9th, 1974 and named for his grandfather Robert P. Fletcher Sr. of Norfolk, VA. Rob is the son of Hilda Smith Fletcher of Lexington, Virginia and Robert P Fletcher Jr. and the step-son of Kim Loch Fletcher of Annapolis, MD. Rob’s older sister Tara lives in New York State.
Rob spent most of his life as a Marylander, living in Owings Mills, Bowie and Annapolis. He graduated from Annapolis High School and attended Frostburg State and Anne Arundel Community College. While in HS, he played lacrosse in the HEROS league. Rob was baptized and confirmed in St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis.
Rob was an experienced home improvement contractor for more than 20 years, willing and able to tackle any kind of project with professionalism and dedication. Rob and his late uncle Bill Fletcher were carpenters and enjoyed discussing home repair projects and challenges together. Rob and his Dad, Bob, often worked together doing improvement projects around the house.
Rob had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them both at work and at play. He had a curious mind and enjoyed abstract subjects such as history, quantum physics and the substance of life and being. He enjoyed his guitar and loved to sing. He and his stepmother Kim enjoyed singing a duet for the song “More than Words” by Extreme.
