Robert A. Cramer
Robert (Bob) A. Cramer died February 8, 2012 in the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, in Charlotte Hall Maryland. He was predeceased by his parents, Roscoe and Hulah Cramer, his wife Sonja and brother Ross C. Cramer.
He was born in Atlantic City, NJ in 1924 and was a long time resident of the Tidewater area of Virginia. He Graduated from Hampton High School, Virginia Polytechnic and the MCV School of Hospital Administration. Mr. Cramer served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was decorated with the Purple Heart. He was an officer of numerous organizations including American Hospital Association, Virginia Hospital Association, Rotary Club and active in the Chamber of Commerce. He was a long time member of Sycamore Baptist Church, Franklin VA.
Mr. Cramer’s surviving family members are his sister, Lois Cummings of Kent Island, Maryland, two sons Roger and wife Julia of Annapolis, MD, Ross F and Mary Jane of Virginia Beach, VA. In addition he leaves three grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, and Joshua along with eight nieces and nephews. He was also survived by a close step- daughter Sunni Holley.
