Richard A. Trott Sr.'s Obituary
Richard A. Trott, Sr., “Trotty”, 82, of Annapolis, MD, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born on April 3, 1940 to Clarence & Dorothy Trott in Annapolis. He was a 5th generation Annapolitan. Richard graduated from St. Mary’s in 1958.
After graduation, he worked in the automotive industry from 1959 to 1983. After that he worked as a painter for PEPCO (Potomac Electric Power Company) in building services and general shops for 21 years. He was proud of his trade painting and spraying transformers and substations in the DC area.
In 1959, he met Judy in Annapolis through mutual friends. Richard and Judy went on to have three children, Rick, Rob, and Jennifer.
Richard retired in 2003. While retired, Richard had time to pursue his love of hunting, fishing, and bird watching. He also enjoyed feasting on crabs and oysters.
Richard was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Dorothy Trott, and his brother Edward A. Trott. Richard is survived by his wife of 61 years Judith Trott, his sons Richard A. Trott, Jr. (Margaret), Robert C. Trott, daughter Jennifer Bopp (Brad), sister Margaret Phipps (Sid), and grandsons Michael, Matthew, Mason Butts, and Bronford Bopp, four great grandsons, one great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Lasting Tributes, on March 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of the Chesapeake.(https://hospicechesapeake.org/)
