To The Family Of Richard Heckhaus:
I read with sorrow of the loss of Richard. Please know you have my deepest condolences. May God comfort you during this difficult time. Please remember death is not the end. Almighty God has given his son, Christ Jesus, and through him we have the promise that our loved ones will be brought back to life in the resurrection. Although this promise does not completely take away the pain of missing Richard, I pray that it brings you peace and strengthens your faith. Galatians 1:3, John 5: 21, 28, 29, Psalms 83:18. Heartfelt prayers are with your family.

Paul and I were lucky enough to have known Rich and Ginny over the past 9 years and fortunate enough to have shared in the celebration of their 50th...truly a joyous and blessed occasion. Rich was an invaluable member of the Severn House family....as a Board member, a "keeper" of the health of our buildings and a valued friend to all of us who live here. The beautiful relationship he shared with Ginny was an inspiration. He and Paul shared their memories of Guam and although there at different times could swap stories of the people and places they experienced. His friendly approach to life and his willingness to see the positive in situations spoke to the strength of the man and his love for his family was evident in all he did., He will be sorely missed and well remembered.....Paul and Cyndy
Rest In Peace Mr. Heckhaus, I will always have such wonderful memories of you. You were always so kind to me and always made me smile. I will always remember the times you let me spend time on the boat with you and the family. It was so much fun to be around the Heckhaus clan. I will miss you dearly. Mrs. Heckhaus and family, I'm so very sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies and Love go out to you.
I have great memories of days spent out on the boat, trying to waterski and BBQs after. I remember staying over so many times and having so much fun. Magellan Avenue was always my safe landing place to stay when I thought I could make it through an overnight visit with my Baltimore aunt and couldn't. I will miss my Uncle Richie. RIP.
I will miss my father in law. He was also so welcoming and fun to be around. I never felt anything but love and acceptance from Rich. Our family will miss his wit and his jokes. My children are so lucky to have had such a wonderful grandfather. Gramps always had them laughing. We were all better people for knowing him.
