Peter Cullison's Obituary
Peter Austin Cullison Sr., 82 a resident of Grasonville, MD and previously of Annapolis, MD and Edgewater, MD. passed away on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis after a 2 month illness.
Pete was born on December 15th, 1940 in Baltimore, MD to the late Paul and Margaret Cullison.
Pete had many jobs over the years to include working for Greyhound, Aamco Transmission, Car Dealerships, and was the proud owner of Bay Furniture in Annapolis, MD. He had a talent for sales and the joke was he could sell an igloo to an Eskimo.
Pete, also known as Popi or Pop-Pop by his grandkids enjoyed yard selling, boating, and camping and loved collecting and gifting to others. Popi enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Pete enjoyed all things Maryland and loved crabs and oysters. He had a passion for helping others and sharing in ministries.
In addition to his parents, Pete was proceeded in death by his brother Skipper and his sister Penny Alexiou.
He is survived by Ioka Summers the mother of his children, Peter Cullison Jr of Florida and Christopher Cullison of California. Also survived by Margaret Stearns, the mother of his children, Clifton Cullison, and his wife Jackie of Maryland and his only daughter Stephanie Cady of Virginia. Peter is also survived by his niece Lauren Altherr and Nephews Timmy Alexiou and Jeff Schultz and grandchildren, Amberlea Cullison, Alyssa Cullison, Isabella Cady, Austin Cady, Emmett Cady, Maylee Cullison, Carson Cullison, and 2 great-grandchildren. Pete is also survived by his sister Puddin Schultz and her husband Ernie, and Alex Cullison his half-brother.
A memorial service will be held in Annapolis in January. Details will be forthcoming.
