Persis Ann Wattles' Obituary
Persis Anne Wattles of Annapolis, MD passed away on August 3,2023, at the age of 96. Persis was born on May 23, 1927, in Westboro, Massachusetts, to Marion N. Heywood and Ralph E. Heywood.
She attended Dana Hall Prep school for girls and completed 4 years at Wheaton college. Persis lived in Miami, Florida for 55 years prior to spending nearly the last 10 years in Annapolis. She LOVED to play Golf and Bridge and had mastered them both. Enjoyed gardening and maintaining a beautiful yard. She loved dogs and cats and was very happy when neighbors would bring theirs by to visit.
A loving wife and mother, she was predeceased by her husband John Farrar Wattles, daughter Pamala Farrar Wattles and son Jeffrey Heywood Wattles. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Persis Wattles, daughter-in-law, Sherri L. Wattles; nephews, John Heywood and Douglas Heywood, and niece, Leslie
Hackman. She always had a positive attitude, a kind word, and a smile to share with others. I always told her on a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the best I’d give her a 200!
