Peggy Elizabeth Dennis' Obituary
Peggy Elizabeth Dance Dennis of Pasadena Maryland peacefully departed this life to be with the lord on Tuesday August 6th,2019. Peggy was the daughter of the late Ashby and Ethel Dance. She was born in Annapolis “Browns Woods” Maryland on August 16th, 1951.
She received her early education in Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
Peggy was employed at Crownsville State Hospital and Spring Grove Hospital as a Direct Nurse’s Aide.
Peggy dedicated her life to serving God through studying and living the word. She was known for jotting down her favorite scriptures, prayers and singing her favorite hymns such as “Jesus Will Fix It” and “Blessed Assurance”. Her Favorite scriptures was Proverbs 3:5-6.” Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path.”
Peggy accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was a member of Asbury Broadneck United Methodist Church, were she served on several ministries: United Methodist Women, Health & Welfare, Winter Relief and Missions, Sunday Women’s Bible Study and The Nurse’s Unit.
Peggy was devoted to her children and grandchildren and was very active in their lives. She also enjoyed shopping, baking, reading and spending time with her family.
Peggy was preceded in death by her sister Mary Sharps, brother Ernest Dance and close cousin Marigold Perry.
Peggy is survived by her devoted husband, Paige Gary Dennis; two sons, Corey Hillary of North Beach MD and Delray Brooks of Brooklyn MD; four brothers, Freddie Dance of North Carolina, Jerry Dance of Augusta GA, Kenneth Lewis of Annapolis MD, Sidney Owens of Brooklyn MD, and six sisters Phyllis Hopkins and Barbara Wallace of Annapolis MD, Dianne Dance of Glen Burnie MD, Kathleen Holliday of Annapolis MD, Charlotte Dance of Chesterfield VA, Sylvia Owens of Brooklyn MD and one daughter-in-law, Nicole Hillary; four grandchildren Lilayah and Jaylynn Hillary; Deven and Darian Brooks, two sisters-in-law Kaddie Herndon of Annapolis MD, Carol Dance of Augusta GA, two brothers-in-law Allen Holliday and Claudius Wallace of Annapolis MD and one uncle, Walter Hunt of Annapolis MD. She will also be missed and fondly remembered by devoted friends Ellen Donnell, Sylvia Pindell and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
