Paul David Langelier's Obituary
Paul David Langelier was born on November 17, 1952 in Marlboro, MA. Paul served in the US Army from 1974-1977 as a member of 82nd Airborne in the 325th infantry division. Following his Army service, he found his passion as a skilled craftsman. He started a career in the Marine Trades at Hood Yacht Systems in Marblehead, MA as a mast builder. His talent quickly led to him becoming a master yacht rigger which brought him to the Chesapeake Bay where he opened his own business, West River Rigging in Shady Side, MD. Paul took pride in sharing his love and knowledge of the trade with others.
Paul was known for his kind heart, humor, vibrant personality, love of music and rescuing animals. There was never a moment Paul wasn’t happy or smiling, with his constant singing-whether he was cooking dinner or out walking the dogs. Paul was taken from us too soon, far too young and there’s not a moment when he won’t be missed.
Paul passed peacefully February 22, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife Marcie, daughter Heather and husband Sean Carolan, granddaughters Hannah and Kaylee, son Dylan Langelier and daughter Danielle Langelier. He is also survived by his sisters Susanne, Emily, brother Jeffery, nephew Paul and niece Melissa.
A private service was held for Paul at one of his favorite dog beaches. If you wish to make a donation in Paul’s memory, please contribute to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, MD or Northern Chesapeake Sheltie Rescue (NCSR).
